Aircraft Information
Built by Peter Borchert and first flown in 2017 is this late-specification Pitts Model 12 featuring a shortened fuselage and wings paired with enlarged ailerons, offering exceptional handling and performance. Presented in superb overall condition, it includes full dual controls and interchangeable single- and two-seat canopies as well as a upgraded smoke system. Both cockpits are equipped with Hooker ratchet harnesses, and all hoses are upgraded to braided Aeroquip lines for enhanced durability.
Curtis Pitts, a pioneer in aerobatic aircraft design, completed the first three-view drawing of the Model 12 in 1993. The prototype flew in March 1996, and subsequent models were developed and refined by Jim Kimball Enterprises. The Model 12 has since become a respected aircraft in both the homebuilt and aerobatic communities.
