History

G-FCUK is a classic aerobatic biplane originally built in 1974. It’s a famous design by Curtis Pitts, known for its incredible performance.

The Pitts Special, originally built in small numbers, quickly became the benchmark for aerobatic planes. Enthusiasts began building their own from rough blueprints, leading to a surge in popularity. To meet demand, detailed plans were released, and the Pitts S-1 gained a reputation as a top-tier aerobatic machine. Curtis Pitts then expanded the line with the two-seat S-2 trainer, and by the 1970s, Pitts planes dominated international competitions.
